About
“For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.”
Newton’s Third Law of Motion
“Rip•ple \ n. a small wave on the surface of water for which the driving force is not gravity, but surface tension.”
Webster’s Revised Unabridged Dictionary
Ripple focuses on the ways in which literature and art display the connections between human action and reaction by portraying, and becoming, both catalyst and result. We are not merely interested in the waves that skim the surface of the pond, but the pebble that compels them forward.
Ripple wishes to display the liaisons held within the heart and events of humanity by showcasing work from all genres and mediums. We accept art in the form of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, visual art, music, performance art, film, and craftwork. In keeping with the ideals of our journal, we hope to allow the artists to shape Ripple just as much as we the production staff do by displaying diverse work that acts as a weave of ideas and reactors. We expect excellence in our submissions and professional craftsmanship in the work we choose to accept.
